October 2, 2002 -- Scheduling of Quizzes

Going forward, quizzes will be conducted after the book review and related topic lecture, typically between 7:10 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. This will give students an opportunity to ask questions in class prior to taking the quiz.

During workshops two and three, quizzes were scheduled at the beginning of class. The purpose of that schedule was to encourage students to read since the text, which is particularly important as this is an introductory course.  Now that students are reading, this schedule change should improve the learning process.
